Bead a Bee by Maize Hutton
Ingredients:

12” 34 gauge gold wire

black size 10 seed beads

yellow size 10 seed beads

clear size 10 seed beads
Thread wire with two black beads.
Fold wire in half with the two black beads in the middle.
Use the threading diagram above.
Thread right side of wire through 2nd black bead. Pull tight
Thread 3 more black beads on left wire then thread right wire through the 3 black beads. Pull tight
Thread left wire with 4 yellow beads then thread right wire through the 4 yellow beads. Pull tight.
Thread left wire with 5 black beads then thread right wire back through the 5 black beads. Pull tight
Thread left wire with 4 yellow beads then thread right wire back through the 4 yellow beads. Pull tight.
Thread left wire with 3 black beads then thread right wire back through the 3 black beads.
Pull tight
Thread left wire with 10 clear beads (these are the wings) then thread wire through 3 black beads. Pull tight.
Thread right wire with 10 clear beads then thread wire back through 3 black beads, pull tight.
Thread left wire with 4 yellow beads then thread right wire back through the 4 yellow beads. Pull tight.
Thread one black, one yellow and one black bead on left wire, pull right wire through the 3 beads. Pull tight.
The wires will now become the antennae. Wrap each wire around a toothpick or q-tip about 5 times. Cut off the remaining wire, bend over end and curl around.
Your bee is done! Wrap it on your pencil top, attach a pin or thumbtack. You decide!
