Felt Wrist Pin Cushions
This is a super easy project to make for your sewing buddy.

What you'll need:

Felt
Embroidery Thread
Black elastic (cut to fit wrist with pin cushion)
Scissors
Embroidery Needle
Fiberfill stuffing

Cut a 2 circles.  You can use the bottom of a glass for a pattern.  Usually about 2-3 inches in diameter.

Use your embroidery thread to stitch a design on the front.  With the top side up, bring your needle and thread up through the bottom on a spot that you want to start stitching.  I usually start at the top or side depending on where the elastic will be.    Your knot will now be on the inside of the cushion.  Hold or pin the backside to the front then start stitching using the blanket stitch.  When you come to the point that your elastic should be stitched in, insert it in between the two sides.  Stitch in the elastic with a regular stitch.  Then complete stitching with the blanket stitch until you need to stitch in the other end of the elastic.  Make sure to leave a small opening to fill with your fiberfill, then stitch shut.

Enjoy!
