Vintage Look Tile Coasters

Here's a quick easy project for making your own tile coasters.  Give a set of four as a gift!  I used some clip art, a special font and some friendship sayings to make mine. 

Home Depot sells cheap white tiles for under a quarter each.  I chipped off the edges with a bench grinder, then modge podged the art to the tile.  When dry, I applied a brown stain, wiped it off, let it dry.  Then applied a couple coats of clear poly.  On the back of each tile you can either attach cork or those little feet, some are felt, plastic, etc.  Tie them up with a piece of raffia, rusted wire, or ribbon.  And you're done!
